“Hollywood Divorce” is based off of a true story, but also is a concept album that delves into the life of a married man. He embarks on a profound journey of the shadow work, faces the temptations of infidelity, navigates the unfamiliar waters of therapy as a Black man for the first time, and sets out on a raw quest toward healing. Designed with skips and characters, the album is a cohesive narrative from start to finish. If you skip a track, you miss a piece of the story.

The stage is where stories, music, and performances come alive. I had the incredible chance to transform my album, “Hollywood Divorce”, along with Dr. HollyHood’s “Yellow Jacket”, into a hip-hopera we titled “Quest and The Girl with The Yellow Jacket”. My album delves into the life of a married man grappling with infidelity, while Dr. Hollyhood's tells the tale from the perspective of the "other woman" involved with that married man. Both albums were released independently, but as fate would have it, their concurrent release was perfect in timing. What evolved was a musical, meticulously written, directed, and acted out by us, supported by a dedicated cast and production team. We had a three-day run in Pittsburgh, PA, and are deeply grateful to the New Hazlett Theater for believing in our vision. This project was truly a labor of love.
